Beach / point break
The main beach, straight out in front of the town centre and the social hub of the village. Open-air restaurants, beach clubs and surf instructors line the sand, and the gentle break makes it the default place to take a first lesson. High energy, street vendors and performers; the centre break gets crowded with both waves and swimmers.

Sayulita's Day of the Dead festival runs a national and international surf contest, and this year it adds a parasurf division: judges, timed heats and a number on the jersey.

Fundación Surfeando Sonrisas opens a free clinic for children and young people with disabilities from Sayulita and the whole bay. For many it will be their first wave.
